The South Australian Government is investing $ 3.5 Million over the next three years in major research projects aimed at providing SA with a special early warning system for climate change and a project to “Extract information on carbon content in vegetation utilizing Satellite and Aerial Imagery”.
Apogee will be providing the satellite data and data analysis in this important project.

Apogee’s Managing Director John Douglas said, “Apogee is proud to be selected
as part of the project team with the University of Adelaide. We will be using
a number of Radar and Optical data sources to develop and test new techniques
to map and monitor vegetation. Our aim is to develop a robust remote sensing
capability to map the carbon content of forest vegetation.”
