Apogee offers a wide range of imagery and services to aid in the planning and processing of emergency management (including disasters) measures for Local Government, State Government, Federal Government, companies, corporations and individuals.

Flood Mapping

Apogee’s 2008 – 2009 IFSAR precision elevation models allow accurate flood risk assessment using proven models. This data has been extensively used and validated by insurance companies and governments worldwide.

All Weather Radar Imaging

TerraSAR-X data can be used for all-weather day and night flood mapping and damage assessment in the event of emergencies. SAR provides the surest way of determining flood extents and the ability to plan response accordingly. Several insurance companies worldwide are now using TerraSAR- X as the means to quickly and accurately estimate flood impact.

Apogee and our partners are proactive and collect over major disasters as they happen. For example satellite images were collected over bush fires in Canberra, Eyre Peninsula, and Victoria.

Flooding and Oil Spills
